This week at Katsel Meditation Tampa we will resume with our normal
schedule of teachings at Mystikal Scents. This week we will focus on the
White Tara Sadhana practice following a Dharma discussion on the 37
Bodhisattva practices. Tea is served at 7pm and our practice begins at
7:30pm.
To maintain, honor, preserve and spread the traditional teachings of the Buddha, and provide a spiritual sanctuary for people to cultivate a peaceful mind through meditation practices and good ethical conduct.

Anyone interested in taking Refuge with our Lama this Wednesday should contact Natalie at katselmeditationtampa@gmail.com. Refuge ceremony will be at Mystikal Scents at 7pm before our practice.

Khenchen Konchog Gyaltsen Rinpoche teachings on his text Prescriptions and Proscriptions
Teachings on both days will be from 10am-5pm with a lunch break from noon until 2pm. Please bring a vegetarian side dish to pass. $40 suggested donation for each day. No one is turned away due to lack of funds. Volunteer opportunities available, inquire via email at katselmeditationtampa@gmail.com

An Evening of Dharma and Music with Katsel Meditation Tampa
Join us at Sacred Grounds Coffee House at 7pm on January 12th for an evening of Dharma, music, singing, mantra chanting and yogic dancing to raise funds for Katsel Meditation Tampa.10% of all sales go towards supporting our center and Lama.

Saturday and Sunday, January 14th and 15th
Introduction class to Tibetan spoken and written language with our Lama. Please bring a notebook and paper for taking notes. Handouts and other materials will be provided. Please bring a vegetarian side dish or dessert to pass both days.
On January 14th the teachings will be from 3pm until 8pm with a dinner break at 5pm.
On January 15th the teachings will be from 10m until 5pm with a lunch break at noon.

Lama Gursam White Tara retreat and Three Diety Empowerment
On January 18th at 4205 W. Watrous Ave, Tampa, FL 33629 Lama Gursam will be doing a White Tara retreat time TBA shortly.
On January 19th at Om Gaia, 312 12th Street West Bradenton, FL 34205 Lama Gursam will be giving a three diety Empowerment, Vajrapani, Hayagriva and Garuda. Empowerment starts at 7:30pm.
Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen, January 7th and 8th at Katsel Meditation Tampa
Katsel Meditation Tampa will be hosting Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen on January 7th and 8th. Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen is the founder of several Drikung Kagyu centers worldwide, including the Tibetan Meditation Center in Maryland. Khenchen is respected and beloved as an accomplished scholar, meditation master, teacher, translator, and author. In 2001 he received the high honor of being enthroned as Khenchen (great abbot). He lives in Frederick, Maryland.
Khenchen Rinpoche will be giving teachings on his text Prescriptions and Proscriptions.
On Saturday, January 7th teachings will be held at the HCC Dale Mabry Campus in the library, room L106. 4001 West Tampa Bay Blvd. 33614
On Sunday, January 8th the teachings will be held in the library at Tampa Prep. 727 West Cass Street, Tampa, FL 33606
On both days teachings will be from 10am-noon and 2pm-5pm.

Our weekly meditation practice consists of varied types of meditation common in Tibetan Buddhism, appropriate for beginning or more intermediate practitioners. We alternate weekly between traditional Tibetan Sadhana practices, and less formal discussions with calm abiding meditation.
We ask a modest $5 donation to support our use of the weekly practice space although no one is turned away due to lack of funds. Tea is served at 7pm and our practice begins at 7:30pm.
